Richard runs the website www.doesntgrowontrees.co.uk and is the Debtbuster columnist for the Daily Star Sunday.

Richard left school in 1986 and joined HMF forces as an officer in the First Battalion Prince of Wales Regiment, serving six years with his final year attached to bomb disposal.

After ending his career with the military in 1993 Richard spent several years working in business development management for several large organisations. Developing growth strategies across several sectors and gaining valuable experience which would lead him into the world of finance in 1999. For the past ten years Richard has worked at director level advising major UK banks and consumers alike on all issues relating to debt, from the recovery to repayment.

During the last ten years Richard has worked with every major high street bank and most of the world's leading finances houses, assisting them with their recovery strategies. In recent years Richard has moved across from the commercial side of finance and into consumer; advising people how to recover from financial catastrophe. As well as working with Banks and consumers Richard is has also had many articles published in the trade press covering issues such as Debt Recovery strategies and the effects of the Credit Crunch within the debt recovery sector, Richard is also a regular speaker at the annual Credit Services Association conference and sits on their compliance committee.
